No matter how much Osha used to look up to Jedi Master Sol, he could never change the crime he committed on the twins' coven and Mothers. That said, one crucial scene in The Acolyte premiere episode foreshadowed Sol's twisted ending.

You May Have Overlooked This One Particular Detail From Episode 1

Before The Acolyte unfolded Osha and Mae's connection with the Jedi Master, Sol was teaching younger apprentices in his introduction. Sol asked his students what they could see through their attempt at connecting with the Force.

Among his students, one young girl, presumed to be a pyromania, tells the story of what she saw in the flames, and it shockingly reveals the plot twist behind Sol's past with the twins.

"I see fire," were the girl's first words, and yet it struck a chord with Sol. He paid close attention to her next words, "It grows larger. It consumes anything that tries to stop it."

According to fans, her "observation" felt as though she was walking through his own memories. And it didn't seem coincidental that the girl had a close resemblance to the age Osha and Mae were when he took Osha under his wing.

Remember how emotionally driven Sol was when he felt an almost immediate connection to Osha? Considering how he lets his emotions drive his decisions, fans surmised this must be how the student was able to decipher his feelings while learning to control the Force.

The night the coven of the witches was burned to the ground, the same night he killed Mother Aniseya by accident and got the twins separated — Torbin and Sol had been guilty about it all.

Torbin had found himself tainted with the burden that he took the Barash Vow to atone for his sins, while Sol merely lurked in daylight, feigning innocence over the whole thing.
