Amazon Prime's The Boys is a dark comedy superhero show known for pushing boundaries and breaking taboos. Season 4 of this series takes it to a new level with twisted superhero parodies, humour, and unexpected plot twists.
So, without further ado, let's look at The Boys' top jokes and moments that will leave you speechless.
Homelander Kills Todd & His Friends
As soon as season 4 of The Boys starts, Homelander shows his pursuit of power. He invites Todd and two other of his biggest fans to a secret meet and greet. The fans are excited to meet him, but the maniac has other plans.
He tells Deep, A-Train, and Black Noir to kill them with baseball bats. The scene is alarming and is more brutal looking than being killed by Homelander's laser vision.
Exposing E-mail By Butcher
The email sent by Billy Butcher is a shocking moment in season 4. This season, it was expected that Butcher would betray The Boys by sending Victoria Neuan the files she wanted.
However, Butcher instead sends a close-up of his butt cheeks spread wide open, leaving nothing to the imagination.
Sage's Comment On Nancy Reagan
Sister Sage is a new character introduced in the Season 4 of The Boys. On her first day at Vought Tower, she claims the institution "blows harder than Nancy Regan on the MGM backlot."
This references the rumours about Ronald Reagan's wife when she was still an actor.
A- train's Movie Cancelled Due To Tax Purposes
When Vought finds that A-Train is the one spilling secrets, they quickly cut all ties with him. With his new movie just shot, Vought plans to scrap it for tax incentives.
This was an aim at some Hollywood Studios, referring to the scrapped movies after building so much anticipation.
Homelander Cooks Frank And Forces Marty To Masturbate
When the trailer for Season 4 of The Boys was released, it showed Homelander in an elevator soaked in blood. This is when he returns to the laboratory where most of his childhood was spent and realises that he needs to deal with his past and destroy his human need for affection.
Homelander then cooks Frank in the oven and forces Marty to masturbate before shooting him in his groin area. This was an act of revenge for laughing at him as a teenager.
Sage Gets A Lobotomy By Deep
Sage, the smartest in The Boys' world, was bound to have some quirks as part of this bizarre world. Well, it turns out that when she is stressed, a frontal lobotomy can help relax her.
She gets a lobotomy performed by The Deep to make her feel like she isn't so smart for a few hours until her brain fully heals. Instead of being insulted, Deep enjoys it.
Sheep On Compound-V
Neuman's scientists ran tests on farm animals to test the supe virus. However, this plan backfires, and razor-toothed sheep fly all around and tear people apart.
The sheep experiment was so silly that no characters considered them to be truly dangerous.
Splinter’s Human Centipede
In Season 4, Episode 2, The Boys are breaking into TruthCon to track Sister Sage and end up fighting Firecracker. Here, Splinter is introduced as Firecracker's most devoted fan. He can use his powers to create multiple copies of himself and can create a long train to perform oral sex with the copies.
The Splinter copies at the front of the line masturbate to a picture of Firecracker. This is undoubtedly one of the wildest moments of the show.
Vought On Ice Turns Into A Blood-Soaked Nightmare
In Episode 3, Hughie and Mother's Milk try to spy on Homelander and Neuman at Vought On Ice. When Homelander spots Hughie sneaking around, chaos ensues.
Queen Maeve gets lasered in half, increasing panic, and many ice skaters are cut into pieces with their partner's razor-sharp ice skates.
Hughie Goes Into The Tek-Cave
Tek Knight, a perverted mix of Ironman and Batman, debuted in Gen V, but his one appearance in The Boys revealed an entirely new side to the detective. Hughie idolised the hero as a child and received an invitation to the Tek Cave.
However, Hughie, as well as the audience, were surprised when Tek Knight said that he needed a submissive partner as a sidekick to indulge in his disturbing sexual fantasies.
Webweaver's Safe Word
Inside Tek Knights' sex dungeon, Hughie comes to know that to get out, he will have to repeat Webweaver's safe word that was pre-agreed. But he forgets the safe word, and Tek Knight says that he loves this thing most in the world.
Hughie tries to guess, and eventually, the butler says the word Zendaya. This clearly references Tom Holland's Spider-Man as Zendaya plays Mary Jane In the MCU.
Kimiko's Leg Amputated By Frenchie
Kimiko, also known as The Female, has super healing powers. In episode 7, Kimiko is injected with the supe virus. Frenchie is left with no choice other than to cut her lower leg before the disease spreads throughout her body.
This gets funny when Frenchie hands her a bee-shaped doll with “You’re the bee's knees” written over it.
Hugh's Bloody Rampage
Hughie's dad, Hugh, was stuck in a coma. But his mother desperately injects him with Compound-V to revive him. He wakes up but gains powers that he cannot control and goes on a killing spree.
The first victim was a nurse who was lying submerged in blood while Hugh held her heart in his hands; afterwards, he killed another patient in the hospital by phasing halfway through their body.
Butcher Tears Neuman in Half
Butcher keeps struggling throughout the season with his two conflicting viewpoints. In his mind, Becca tells him to show compassion and restraint, whereas Kessler tells him to surrender to his violent desires for killing supes no matter what.
In the season finale, Butcher tears Neuman in half with his super-powered appendages and shows he is entirely in control of his dark side.
The Boys Season 4 is a bold, unapologetic, and hilarious takedown of superhero culture, and these ten moments are just the beginning. If you thought the show couldn't get more shocking, think again.
