Mae has been searching far and wide for the four Jedi on her kill list. The Acolyte introduces it as her entry to train in the Dark Side, but she's also planning on coming after them for revenge. What kind of revenge is driving her, exactly?

Episode 7 titled Choice shows a flashback of what happened on planet Brendok. Master Indara, Sol, Torbin, and Kelnacca were investigating the area for some vergence until they discovered the twins, Osha and Mae.

From Mae's perspective, she hopes to offer her skills and abilities to help Mother Aniseya and the Ascension ceremony. So, when her twin sister, Osha, chooses her own path to join the Jedi, she feels betrayed. But this only scratches the surface.

Mother Koril evidently doesn't want the girls to leave the planet, specifically Osha, who wants to learn the ways of the Jedi. When she finds out that Mother Aniseya plans on letting her go, Koril resorts to instilling her anger on Mae.

It was Mother Koril who wanted Mae to use that anger to prevent Osha from leaving them.

Remember when Jedi Master Sol told his Padawan Osha that it was Mae who started the fire on Brendok? How come Mae remembers it differently? As episode 7 depicted, it was Mae who did it, but not in the way you think.

In Mae's attempt to keep Osha from leaving her and the coven, she sets Osha's book on fire, which accidentally sets the rest of the coven on fire.

When Mae went looking for help from Mother Aniseya, Sol was convinced the latter was going to keep the twins from joining the Jedi. He ends up killing their leader based on clouded judgment.

It was Mae who had witnessed the truth: Sol had killed their mother. It was the four Jedi who wreaked havoc in their sanctuary.
