The Acolyte Episode 6, titled Teach / Corrupt, features several Easter eggs and references to the greater Star Wars universe, as Osha and Mae (Amandla Stenberg) switch masters.

After Mae replaces Osha as Jedi Master Sol’s (Lee Jung-jae) former Padawan in the previous episode, the latter finds herself with Qimir / The Stranger (Manny Jacinto).

The twin sisters are about to learn more about each other's masters, and the events that transpire feature connections to other Star Wars movies, Legends, High Republic books, and more.

Strap in and mind the spoilers.

Emergency Code Zero

The moment Sol enters the orbit after leaving Khofar, he reaches Coruscant using “Emergency Code Zero.”

This is an Imperial emergency code from the Star Wars Legends game Empire at War, known for being a distress signal requesting immediate help.

The code was first activated at the Space Battle at Kuat when the Rebellion ships attacked a shipyard over the planet.

This caused the Star Destroyer Tyranny to be diverted from its post at Fresia, where Darth Vader stationed it.

“Your Emotions Betray You”

In a conversation between Osha and Qimir, the former is worried that The Stranger can read her mind.

However, the villain tells Osha that he can read her emotions, which betray her thoughts.

This line appears several times in the Skywalker Saga, particularly in 1983's Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.

There, Luke tells his father, Darth Vader, that his thoughts betray him as he can still feel the good in him.

But Darth Vader tells Luke the same thing while he convinces him to join the dark side.

Pip’s Reset

When Bazil attacks Mae, sensing she’s not Osha, Pip spews what looks like ink on the assassin’s face.

This angers Mae, who warns Pip that she will reset the droid back to its factory setting. As she does so, two of Pip’s lights turn from white to red.

This looks like a nod to C-3PO's eyes changing to red when his systems are reset to read the language of the Sith in the 2019 Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker.

Kylo Ren’s Theme Plays Again

Once again, Kylo Ren’s theme plays during the credits of The Acolyte Episode 6 after first appearing in the previous episode.

This suggests that Qimir could be connected to the sequel villain, who later redeemed himself and joined the light side.

By the looks of it, Qimir may be later revealed as an early member of the Knights of Ren.

Surely, that theme won’t be there for nothing.

Vernestra Rwoh’s Lightsaber Whip

Vernestra Rwoh’s lightsaber whip has finally debuted in live-action in The Acolyte Episode 6.

First seen in the High Republic books and novels, her purple lightsaber has an alternate whip function that she modified when she was still a Padawan.

So, after several teases in the series’ trailers, fans have finally seen it in action.

Fans can expect more Easter eggs and references in the last two episodes of The Acolyte.

Who knows? Qimir’s connection to Kylo Ren and his knights may finally be confirmed.
