Whenever James Gunn sits on the director's chair, music has always played a pivotal role in the overall feel of the movie. For his upcoming The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, he just released a new track which he personally co-wrote with Old 97s titled I Don't Know What Christmas Is (But Christmastime Is Here).

The Marvel Cinematic Universe first expanded into making series, and now, they are making special presentations starting with Werewolf By Night for Halloween, and for Christmas, it will be The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special directed by James Gunn.

Not only that, James Gunn also reveals that he co-wrote a song for The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special with Old 97s, and it is titled I Don't Know What Christmas Is (But Christmastime Is Here) which perfectly fits the narrative given that the Guardians doesn't really have Christmas in space.

James Gunn shared on his official Twitter account, "When I wrote a song for the #GotGHolidaySpecial I asked my pal @rhettmiller to write with me & then said, “What the heck, why don’t you and the @Old97s play the band?!” Some of the most fun days on set ever."

In the same tweet, James Gunn also posted that The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special's I Don't Know What Christmas Is (But Christmastime Is Here) is now available to listen to on Spotify.
