Christmas will be merrier with The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special.
The Guardians of the Galaxy is a group of intergalactic misfits who were thrust together by fate to work together in order to save the galaxy from ruin. The group is led by Peter Quill (Starlord), who is joined by Groot, Rocket the Raccoon, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, and Mantis.
The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special will take us through a side-quest with our beloved guardians. Though we don’t know what the plot will be yet, we can expect it to be injected with elements of holiday cheer. Here is everything we know so far about The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special to get you into the holiday spirit.
The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special Release Date: When Will the Marvel Movie Come Out?
The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special came out sometime in November 25, 2022.
Disney first announced that the project is in development at the Disney Investor Day presentation in December 2020. The movie was announced alongside other future movies and projects related to Disney, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Star Wars.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special 3 Cast: Who are the Actors Included in the Disney+ Movie?
The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special included the original cast members from the previous The Guardians of the Galaxy movies.
We saw see Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, aka Starlord, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, and Dave Bautista as Drax. Vin Diesel may also continue lending his voice to Groot, along with Bradley Cooper, who may continue voicing for Rocket the Raccoon.
A new character may also be introduced in the movie. There is no news yet on who this new character will be, but it could be a member of The Sovereign, who was first seen in the second The Guardians of the Galaxy movie. There are also some speculations that Will Poulter, who plays Adam Warlock, or Chukwudi Iwuji, who plays the Peacemaker, may also be the new characters.
The film also confirmed the reports of a new top dog joining the gang – Cosmo the Spacedog. Cosmo has been a fan favorite since his first appearance in the comic books in 2004. Cosmo has appeared in the first few movies with The Guardians and the Galaxy: Holiday Special may be the perfect movie to give him a larger role in the franchise.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special Plot: What Will be the Plot of the Marvel Holiday Movie?
The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special will take place between the events in Thor: Love and Thunder and The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The trailer of Thor: Love and Thunder showed that the Guardians would appear in the movie, but it is still unclear if Thor will be a part of the Holiday Special.
The last time we saw the Guardians was in the Avengers: Endgame movie, where an alternate Gamora joined their team after Thanos sacrificed the Gamora from the main timeline to obtain the soul stone. The alternate Gamora (who came from before she met any of the Guardians) left the team by the end of the Endgame, so we can assume that the Holiday Special may be about the Guardians search for Gamora.
We were still unsure what the plot of the movie will be before its release, but it was clear The Guardians of the Galaxy: Holiday Special has a special role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to director James Gunn, the movie will teach us everything we need to understand The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. No matter how silly or insignificant the events in the Holiday Special may be, they may contribute to establishing the context of Vol. 3.
The official plot line of the film reads:
In the The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, the Guardians, who are on a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, head to Earth in search of the perfect present. The Marvel Studios’ Special Presentation stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn and The Old 97’s with Michael Rooker and Kevin Bacon.

It is delightful enough to deliver some levity and warmth without relying too much on tired tropes. It’s easy-going comfort food with some characters that make you smile, and it reminds us that there is still some magic in the MCU.
