The Acolyte Just Unmasked Mae's Sith Master
One of the biggest mysteries The Acolyte has kept under wraps so far is the face and name of the Sith Lord whose orders Mae has been following since the beginning of the story.
By the fifth episode, things have escalated, and the masked Sith Lord and his "apprentice" Mae confront Jedi Master Sol and his apprentice, Osha. During the big reveal, we find out the true identity of Mae's master.
Needless to say, fans were not surprised to find out Qimir (played by Manny Jacinto) was the Sith behind the mask all along. However, there has to be more to the series' monster reveals.
If anything, Qimir turning out to be Mae's Sith master barely scratches the surface compared to other Star Wars baddies. So fans are convinced The Acolyte is building up to something worse.

Fans Are NOT Convinced Qimir is the Sith Lord We've Been Waiting For
Take the title of the Star Wars series, for example. Some fans surmised that the acolyte in the title implies an apprentice who is looking for their own apprentice.
In this case, fans believe that Qimir is NOT the Sith Lord we've been waiting to uncover, but rather a Sith apprentice looking to find his own Sith apprentice.
According to one fan, pinning Qimir as one of the main two Sith Lords in the timeline of The Acolyte wouldn't make sense, especially since Qimir couldn't even keep the practice of the Sith a secret from Jedi Master Sol.
As another fan guessed, the last episode may show the true final boss of The Acolyte––a monster who could "effortlessly beat Qimir to show just how strong a fully trained Sith Lord is in this era."
As another fan pointed out, his identity would have easily been guessed as early as episode 2, after Qimir advised Mae to find the weakness of the Jedi Masters she's hunting down.
