What Are Rouge's Powers and Abilities in Metallic Rouge?
Rouge Redstar appears as a young girl with no exceptional powers, but appearances are deceiving.
In fact, Rouge is an android, known in the series as "Nean." She can fight in a powerful outer shell that looks like a metallic suit.
When fighting in this mode, she's known as Metallic Rouge. Not only is Metallic Rouge physically powerful, but she is also very resistant to damage.
She can unleash sword-like weapons and cause explosions that help her defeat her enemies.
So, How Strong Is Rouge Redstar in Metallic Rouge?
Metallic Rouge is an original anime with no manga, so the full extent of Rouge's powers will be revealed in later episodes. However, the sci-fi anime has already shown much of her potential.
The show's premiere reveals that Rouge can largely hold her own against one of her archenemies, Purgatory Viola, with the latter admitting that Rouge isn't doing badly.
Although not quite as strong or experienced as Viola, who is also a Nean with a similar suit, she manages to unleash bright green, sword-like weapons of her creation against her opponent's flames.
Eventually, Rouge creates an explosion that could have allowed her to escape but lets the battle go on to allow Naomi to study their opponent.
This shows that Rouge's endurance allows her to keep taking blows for quite a while if needed.
When she returns to battle, Viola's whips destroy a stone structure nearby, but Rouge herself remains largely unharmed.
This isn't to say that Metallic Rouge is indestructible. Viola's whips hurt her, and, after a while, Naomi observes that Rouge's pressure resistance is at breaking point, with her outer shell about to melt. Regardless, Rouge wins.
In Episode 2, Rouge comes across an android known as Cylinder Head. Once again, her powers are enough to protect her and her group.
Rouge uses her signature explosion once again with a precision that allows her to save the group's van so that they can safely continue their travels.
Already, Rouge's powers look impressive, especially for someone so young, and we expect many exciting action scenes in episodes to come.
