The Acolyte fans believe Vernestra Rwoh may have intentionally kept Jedi Master Sol from the crime scene to frame him for the Jedi murders. Here's what could possibly unfold in the last episodes of the series.
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers for The Acolyte episode 6, so proceed with caution.
There's More to Vernestra Rwoh than We Initially Thought
The Acolyte episode 6, titled Teach/Corrupt, shows the elder Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh arriving at the most recent crime scene with her new pupil, Mog (played by Harry Trevaldwyn).
As Mog analyzes how Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar could have been murdered during a mysterious explosion, it dawns on Vernestra that she may have an idea who is responsible for the disruption of Sol's team mission.
Coincidentally, in the same episode, Qimir opens up to Osha about his past when she notices the jagged scar on his back, which looks suspiciously like the mark of a whip.
Fans surmised that Vernestra may have been the former Jedi Master who left that scar on Qimir's back. Now, while this has yet to be confirmed by The Acolyte's showrunners, the knowing look on Vernestra's face as she uncovered Qimir's crime scene was undeniable. Did she recognise the handywork of her former pupil?
Here's how fans think this will negatively affect Sol's fate in the next few episodes.

How and Why Vernestra Could Try to Frame Sol
If, as Qimir hints, he was indeed the former Padawan that Vernestra abandoned on the quest to become a Jedi, then it makes sense that she would attempt to cover up his tracks. After all, the discovery that her former pupil had gone rogue would only reflect on her as a failure.
So how could she avoid that? Who could she blame in Qimir's place? Fans think this is why Sol was kept away from the investigation site: because Vernestra will try to pin the Jedi deaths on him.
Based on one of Mog's observations at the crime scene, the potential culprit could easily be Jedi Master Sol – nevermind that it wouldn't make a lot of sense for other reasons. But this means Vernestra can try to frame Sol as having betrayed his team and teamed up with Mae to hunt down the other targets.
And what would she stand to gain by betraying Sol? An intact reputation, of course.
Keep in mind that these are merely fan theories for now. We would have to wait until the seventh episode premieres on July 9 to learn whether any of this holds water.
However, the likeliness of this plot unfolding could seemingly tie together the story of The Acolyte and see Qimir could carrying on a different kind of Sith legacy.
