There are several young adult novels that have made their readers fall even more in love with their TV adaptations, such as Heartstopper, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and more. Fans of this genre have even more reason to celebrate, with several novels getting their TV versions.
So, without further ado, here are the five YA novels that are getting TV adaptations that will roll out across major streamers very soon.
The Ring & The Crown

Bestselling author Melissa de la Cruz’s YA fantasy novel The Ring & The Crown is getting a TV adaptation on Disney+.
Following the story of Princess Marie-Victoria, an heir to the strongest empire in the world, the series will delve into old magic and Arthurian lore.
It will see Marie-Victoria being forced into a political marriage, while her dear friend Aelwyn Myrddyn, the bastard daughter of Merlin, is forced into service of the crown. The show will also feature multiple characters across different ancient kingdoms.
They Both Die at the End

Written by Adam Silvera, the 2017 YA romance novel They Both Die at the End will be turned into a TV series on Netflix and produced by Bad Bunny.
Thanks to #BookTok, a famed hashtag readers used on TikTok, the book saw a resurgence in 2020 and was placed on The New York Times Best Seller list.
It tells the story of two teenage boys, Mateo and Rufus, who learn they only have one day left to live. To make the most out of their final day, they decide to meet up for “one last great adventure and live a lifetime in a single day.”
Happy Place

Back in 2024, news emerged that Netflix had optioned Emily Henry’s novel Happy Place for Jennifer Lopez’s production company, Nuyorican, for a TV series following the success of her movies Atlas and The Mother on the streamer.
The 2023 book follows the couple Harriet and Wyn, who have been partners in crime in everything since their college days. However, things change when they decide to break up but can’t bring themselves to tell their best friends yet, forcing them to continue living together.
As they work through the complexities of their relationship and breakup, they learn along the way what finding one’s “happy place” truly means.
This Is My America

Kim Johnson’s This Is My America will soon be seen on HBO Max after Erik Feig’s Picturestart acquired the television rights to develop and produce an adaptation of the award-winning 2020 novel.
Centering on 17-year-old Tracy Beaumont, it explores injustices in the US justice system through the eyes of its Black Gen-Z protagonist.
Tracy is a budding social activist who fights not only to save her father from death row but also to clear her older brother’s name when he becomes the number one suspect in the murder of a popular white girl at their school.
Through her journey, she dives deeper into a web of mysteries surrounding her Texas town’s racist past and present and uncovers secrets that have remained hidden for far too long.
Firekeeper’s Daughter

Even before Angeline Boulley’s Firekeeper’s Daughter was released in 2021, the Obamas had already optioned the novel through their Higher Ground Productions company for a Netflix TV show.
It was no surprise that the former first couple of the US saw its potential, as it went on to win the 2022 Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best New Young Adult Novel and even became a New York Times bestseller.
The book follows 18-year-old Ojibwe girl Daunis Fontaine, a half-Native, half-white young woman who witnesses her friend’s murder and becomes involved in an FBI investigation revolving around a new drug.
Truly, Boulley’s work on this book paid off after spending a decade researching “the intricacies of illegal drugs, law enforcement, hockey, and the ways of her own tribe, the Ojibwe people.”
