Ahsoka season 2 might just be the medicine Star Wars fans have been looking for.
According to reports, Hayden Christensen will not only be reprising his role as Anakin Skywalker in the franchise, but he might also be set to claim a bigger role than fans anticipated. Here's what we know so far.
Why are Star Wars Fans Convinced Anakin Skywalker Has a Bigger Role in Ahsoka S2?
Ever since Ahsoka season 2 began filming in Spring this 2025, Hayden Christensen has been dropping out of making his appearances in fan conventions, namely from Spacecon San Antonio and Manchester Comic Con.
Considering that his presence is crucial on the panel, especially for old and new fans, this got them wondering what's keeping him busy behind the scenes.
Well, according to a Facebook post from Spacecon San Antonio (via Total Film): "We had attempted to have Hayden Christensen return to appear with The Emperor 'Ian McDiarmid'.... but Hayden is still filming the next season of Ahsoka and is unable to commit."

Keep in mind that the convention doesn't take place until October 24 to 26, though, leading fans to speculate the actor's return might just have landed a much more significant role in season 2, compared to his season 1 debut.
"Hayden is filming all the way until the end of October. How big is his role in this season?!?!" one fan tweeted, with another adding fuel to the fire, "He's going to be in it A LOT."
Christensen understandably had to drop out of Manchester Comic Con in the UK due to filming commitments, but that event was across the weekend of July 26 to 27, meaning that the actor might have ample screentime upon his return to the second season!
What Else Has Star Wars Celebration Hinted About Ahsoka Season 2?

This year's Star Wars celebration unveiled that Christensen will come back as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka season 2, leaving the rest of the plot and potential details under wraps, still.
The most that Hayden has spoken about season 2 was back in May 2024, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, where he answered, "Look, as to whether or not we see Anakin again, I don't know. But as evidenced by that lost shot of the series, he's with her in spirit, and they continue to have this connection."
Anakin Skywalker's longest appearance in Ahsoka season 1 came in episode 5, with sprinkled glimpses of him here and there through flashbacks and holograms, but could season 2 hold greater power for Tano's master?
While Ahsoka season 2 has no official release date yet, Star Wars fans can still catch up and rewatch the first season streaming on Disney+.
