- Quick Answer: Rumors suggest Eva Mendes is ending her acting retirement for a cameo as Belle, a 650-year-old cantina owner, in Star Wars: Starfighter alongside partner Ryan Gosling.
A new report claimed that Eva Mendes will be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter.
Following the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu earlier this summer, fans are now looking forward to the next Star Wars movie next year, which will focus on new characters and explore a story that has never been explored in the galaxy far, far away. Ryan Gosling will be leading the ensemble.
Who Is Eva Mendes Playing in Star Wars: Starfighter?

Scooper MakingStarWars, who has shared a lot of insider information regarding the Star Wars franchise in the past, recently posted a series of leaks about Star Wars: Starfighter on X.
Among the scoops shared, one of the most notable is a cameo appearance from none other than Eva Mendes.
They shared that the actress will be "playing a fully glammed-out cantina owner named Belle" and "she is 650 years old with gold skintight pants, corset with a golden cape."
If this ends up being true, it will mark Mendes' acting comeback after being retired from show business for several years. Her potential appearance should not be a surprise for fans since she is Gosling's partner.
So far, Lucasfilm has not commented on the alleged information surrounding the upcoming Star Wars movie.
Aside from Mendes' cameo, MakingStarWars also shared that Gosling will be playing "Cade, a rogue/Han Solo-style protagonist," and he "escorts a child to the Jedi refuge or academy on Adaria." His character is also said to be "the best friend of the father of [Flynn] Gray's character."
Meanwhile, Aaron Pierre will be playing someone who "appears to be connected to that Jedi sanctuary on Adaria," and he and Mia Goth's character will have a lightsaber fight.
What to Expect in Star Wars: Starfighter

The plot details regarding Star Wars: Starfighter are currently under wraps, but it is a standalone movie set in a timeline that has never been explored in Star Wars before.
The cast includes Ryan Gosling, Flynn Gray, Amy Adams, Aaron Pierre, Mia Goth, Matt Smith, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, and Daniel Ings.
"I feel a profound sense of excitement and honor as we begin production on Star Wars: Starfighter. From the day Kathy Kennedy called me up, inviting me to develop an original adventure in this incredible Star Wars galaxy, this experience has been a dream come true, creatively and personally," Levy said in the announcement.
"Star Wars shaped my sense of what story can do, how characters and cinematic moments can live with us forever. To join this storytelling galaxy with such brilliant collaborators onscreen and off, is the thrill of a lifetime."
Aside from directing, Levy also serves as producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy. Jonathan Tropper wrote the script. The film is slated for release in theaters on May 28, 2027.
