The Acolyte showrunner Leslye Headland recently weighed in on the popular fan theory surrounding Qimir's potential connection to the Knights of Ren.

Since episode 5's reveal of Qimir as the mysterious Sith Lord, fans have speculated that he might have tie-ins to the Knights of Ren, especially since the "Kylo Ren Theme" was briefly played during the episode's final scene.

So far, the series has not fully explored Qimir's backstory or his overall master plan, but the theory continues to be discussed by fans heading to the first season finale this week.

The Acolyte Showrunner Addresses Qimir's Knight of Ren Connection Fan Theory

In a recent interview, Headland was asked to weigh in on the popular The Acolyte fan theory surrounding Qimir's potential connection to Knights of Ren.

She played coy in her response as she neither confirmed nor denied the possibility and called the idea "interesting."

"It’s a really good theory. What an interesting theory. What an amazing…that’s…wow. Wow wow," the showrunner said.

It's not surprising that Headland gave a cryptic response to the fan theory since she obviously can't confirm any potential plot points that might happen in the first-season finale or the second season.

However, with the way she responded to the question, some fans might read it as a potential sign that that series is leaning towards that direction for Qimir and fans should watch out for a possible reveal down the line.

After all, they used the "Kylo Ren Theme" as a music cue for a pivotal brief moment involving Qimir and there is a reason why Headland and her team put that specific music instead of an originally-composted theme.

It is curious to see how it all plays out for the rest of the series since it is pretty clear that there's a lot of exploring that they're going to do with Qimir and the Sith of that era.

New episodes of The Acolyte premiere every Tuesday night on Disney+.
