Netflix has released the midseason trailer of Sakamoto Days amid its major success on the platform.
The hit anime series, which premiered last month, is currently airing the first cour of its first season. Despite the divisive early reactions before the first episode aired, it ended up winning a lot of fans as they now look forward to the weekly new episodes.
Sakamoto Days Releases Action-Packed Midseason Trailer
The midseason trailer for Sakamoto Days was recently released which gave fans their first sneak peek at the upcoming episodes.
While the footage is only less than two minutes long, it shows a lot of exciting action-packed scenes and teases the opponents from The Order that the main characters will face. They even hint at a dinosaur that they will somehow face.
The trailer also revealed that the stakes will intensify in the upcoming episodes and fans are excited to see how it all plays out (unless you've already read the manga).
The Order will have a more prominent role in the upcoming episodes as we learn further about their existence, the members, and their ultimate goal on the quest to defeat Taro.
The series has already won the hearts of fans (both old and new) who have seen the five episodes that aired so far, and it looks like it will continue for the rest of the season.
What is Sakamoto Days About?
Sakamoto Days tells the story of the ultimate assassin, Taro Sakamoto, who is feared by villains and admired by other hitmen. One day, he falls in love and out of shape, preoccupied with marriage, retirement, and fatherhood.
Despite that, he’s still armed with superhuman skill and strength, and during extreme situations, he loses his extra weight and gains twice the power he had before.
When his past catches up, Sakamoto must embrace his previous life again and work with his comrades to protect his family from the looming bands of assassins.
The first season is being split into two parts with Part 2 currently slated to air in July later this year.
