Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the ‘Ketamine Queen’ for selling the drug that led to Matthew Perry’s death, has agreed to plead guilty to federal charges related to its distribution
Sangha is the fifth and final defendant charged in the overdose death of the beloved Friends actor to reach a plea agreement with federal prosecutors.
With this move, she is avoiding a trial that had been scheduled for September.
What are the charges against Jasveen Sangha?

Sangha originally faced nine criminal counts but agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges, including providing Perry with ketamine that led to his overdose.
She will plead guilty to one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, three counts of distribution of ketamine, and one count of distribution of ketamine resulting in death or serious bodily injury.
“She’s taking responsibility for her actions,” her attorney, Mark Geragos, told CNN.
However, Sangha is just one of five people—including medical doctors and Perry’s assistant—whom U.S. officials claim supplied the star with the drug, exploiting his addiction for profit and ultimately contributing to his death.
Others include Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Dr. Mark Chavez, who sold Perry ketamine; Kenneth Iwamasa, his live-in assistant, who helped him purchase and inject the drug; and Eric Fleming, who sold ketamine obtained from Sangha to Perry.
All five have agreed to plead guilty to charges in the case.
Sangha’s criminal trial had been postponed several times but was finally scheduled to begin in September. She is expected to formally enter her guilty plea in federal court in the coming weeks as part of her agreement with federal authorities.
If found guilty, she faces a maximum sentence of 65 years in federal prison, according to the Justice Department.
Who is the Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha?

Sangha is a dual citizen of the U.S. and the U.K. At 42, she earned the nickname the “Ketamine Queen” for her alleged role in supplying large quantities of the drug in Los Angeles.
Federal prosecutors described her Los Angeles home as a “drug-selling emporium” after finding dozens of vials of ketamine during a raid.
More than 80 vials were allegedly discovered in what authorities deemed her “stash house” in North Hollywood before her arrest in March 2024. Thousands of pills, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and Xanax, were also reportedly found.
Sangha is accused of supplying ketamine from her home since at least 2019. An indictment alleges that she worked with celebrities and other high-profile clients. Her “stash house” was reportedly where she packaged and distributed the drugs.
With her status, she is said to have socialized with celebrities. A source told the Daily Mail that she even attended the Golden Globes and Oscars.
Her social media posts also hinted at a lavish lifestyle, including parties and trips to Japan and Mexico.
Matthew Perry struggled with addiction for years, even during his time on Friends. He died of an overdose on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54.
