I think it's pretty safe to say that fans will always find a way to compare Marvel and DC and pit them against one another. Both comic book companies have successfully produced some of the most iconic superheroes and supervillains in existence but there have been times when they created characters that have similar traits, personalities, and sets of powers. A common subject of debate amongst diehard fans is whether or not Harley Quinn and Deadpool are actually alike. Many fans believe that Harleen Quinzel is DC's answer to Marvel's Wade Wilson and vice versa.
Apparently, Marvel (sorta) believes that Joker's iconic henchwoman is a blatant copycat of their fourth-wall-breaking mutant and they made sure everyone on social media knew. On Twitter, user @Pollos_Hernandy retweeted images of the DC anti-hero and pointed out how "WB (Warner Bros.) is trying too hard to make her DC's Deadpool."
The said post was later retweeted by Marvel's official Indian account, pretty much implying that they agree with the fan's sentiments. The said retweet can no longer be found on the account's page but you can check out a screengrab of it below:

To be fair, both characters have always been presented as anti-heroes and fans have only come to the conclusion that one is copying the other due to their similar attitudes. Despite that, I feel like Harley and Deadpool being "alike" was purely coincidental and let's be honest, they each bring something different to the table so comparing them is actually pointless. I gotta say though, a Harley x Deadpool crossover would be a dream come true.
Meanwhile, The Suicide Squad is scheduled for a limited theatrical release on August 5, 2021. It will also be available on the same day on HBO Max.
