Marvel revealed last weekend that Game of Thrones Jon Snow star Kit Harington would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in The Eternals. Now, we know that the British actor's The Eternals character, Black Knight, has a few more films in the franchise outside of the upcoming Phase 4 movie.
Speaking with Good Morning America at this year's D23 Expo over the weekend, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige decided to talk a bit more about Harington's casting in The Eternals, hinting that the Game of Thrones actor had even more appearances in the MCU.
"He's a really amazing actor. This part came up in the Eternals film that we're doing. We were so happy that he agreed to join, and it is a part that could perhaps grow into something else in the future," Feige told the publication.
This is pretty interesting news. Harington hasn't even proven his skills yet as a Marvel star, and yet it seems like Marvel's already sold on him, hoping that he appears in other films outside of The Eternals.
However, multiple appearances from The Eternals shouldn't come as a surprise to fans. After all, The Eternals have been making appearances throughout history. Dane Whitman, the Black Knight, has also had a pretty long history in the Marvel Comic Universe, so we're pretty excited to see where the mystical sword-carrying hero might appear in after he gets his introduction in The Eternals.
Joining Harington in the film's cast is Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Angelina Jolie, Lauren Ridlof, Brien Tyree Henry, Don Lee, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Barry Keoghan, and Gemma Chan.
The Eternals is set for release on November 6, 2020.
