Jon Favreau On Whether There Are Plans For Iron Man 4

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Marvel's Avengers: Endgame.

Now that Avengers: Endgame's finally made its big premiere, fans are wondering whether Marvel might set up another Iron Man movie, this time with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) daughter, Morgan. However, as exciting as the prospect of a new Iron Man movie might sound, original Iron Man director Jon Favreau says that there are no plans for Iron Man 4 as of the moment.

Speaking with members of the press during a Spider-Man: Far From Home set visit (via ComicBook.com) , Favreau was asked about whether or not Marvel would pursue a fourth Iron Man movie.

"We haven't talked about four," Favreau said of himself and Downey. "I've talked to [Marvel Studios president] Kevin [Feige] about it to see what they're up to, but we definitely love working together and we love these characters. We talk about what it would be, and we always joke about the freak storyline which is the Happy Hogan storyline when he turns into a Hulk-like character. We joke about that. No plans, as of yet."

Though the Lion King and Star Wars: The Mandalorian director doesn't a film of that sort, the filmmaker says that he's open to working on other Marvel projects in the future. Maybe Favreau could return to direct another Marvel movie, one that might introduce Morgan Stark as the new Iron Heart? Or the director could take on a film in Marvel's Cosmic Universe?

The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is as bright as ever, and the possibilities are endless. Let's just wait and see what happens here on end.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
