Don't think that the original franchise author, JK Rowling, would follow suit just because HBO's new Harry Potter cast is advocating for the LGBT+ community.

Rowling has been under fire and controversy ever since she declared her anti-trans stance, despite the backfire she faced for her voice.

Now, a source close to the author has stated the author's true feelings on the whole matter as it blows up on the internet.

JK Rowling Declares Harry Potter is Bigger Than the Cast

Harry Potter reboot actor, Paapa Essiedu, who will play Professor Severus Snape in the upcoming HBO series, recently signed an open letter to support trans rights in solidarity with the trans and non-binary community.

While the majority of the original cast are among the hundreds who signed on, don't expect the franchise author to join the club.

However, JK Rowling is reportedly unfazed by the Snape actor's action.

According to a source close to the author, Rowling "won't care at all." The insider added that despite having opposing views, she won't consider intervening to dismiss him at all.

"Jo won't care at all," the source stated, "She knows how powerful Harry Potter is, and it's bigger than its cast. She knows she's going to face criticism, but she is now uncancelable."

The source went on to say to Rowling, "it's business as usual," which means prioritizing "to build the Harry Potter brand while supporting women's rights."

The problem here doesn't lie in Rowling's stance. She does believe in women's rights but she does not support the fact that transwomen are women.

In doing so, she earned backlash from the likes of The Mandalorian and The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal, Doctor Who's David Tennant, Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan, and even the former franchise child star Daniel Radcliffe.

"Awful disgusting SH*T is exactly right," Pascal commented under Ra'ouf's video where Rowling celebrated the UK Supreme Court's ruling that transgender women are not legally considered women, "Heinous LOSER behavior."

"JK Rowling is a wonderful author who's created brilliant stories, and I wish her no ill will, but I hope that we can all, as a society, just let people be," said Tennant, "Just get out of people's way."

"Keep your new Harry Potter lads," the Lady Whistledown of the Bridgerton series penned on her Instagram Story, "Wouldn't touch it with a ten-foot pole," in relation to the HBO TV series adaptation currently in the works.

Let's face it. As big as the franchise is, the author's anti-trans stance is only further harming the brand and its fans the longer this goes on.

"To all the people who now feel that their experience of the books has been tarnished or diminished, I am deeply sorry for the pain these comments have caused you," Radcliffe wrote in an essay for the Trevor Project, "I really hope that you don't entirely lose what was valuable in these stories to you."
