It has long been a dream for sci-fi fans to see another Alien–Predator crossover 20 years after Alien vs. Predator and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Now that Alien: Earth has been renewed for a second season, and the recently released Predator: Badlands has incorporated Alien elements into its story, is there finally a chance for these two iconic franchises to come together?
Alien: Earth creator Noah Hawley weighs in on the issue, and here’s what he has to say.
Will There Be an Alien-Predator Crossover?

Hawley will continue Wendy’s (Sydney Chandler) story in Alien: Earth Season 2, with the xenomorphs now under her command as she rules over Neverland.
With this new premise set up, the creator was asked whether there was a possibility that fans might see a Predator crossover in the show’s future.
“No, not on the show, I don't think,” he said on the SmartLess podcast.
He then pointed to Dan Trachtenberg, the filmmaker behind Prey and Predator: Badlands, suggesting that Trachtenberg might be the one to handle such a crossover if it ever happens.
“I think he's doing a great job with that franchise. He clearly has a plan there,” he continued. “I've met Dan once; we're not coordinating any of that stuff. So, it's not really my plan to do it.”
While Hawley shuts down fans’ hopes of seeing an Alien–Predator crossover in Alien: Earth Season 2, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will never happen.
In fact, it seems more likely than ever, especially after Predator: Badlands revealed that these two monstrous universes are actually connected.
What are the Alien Elements in Predator: Badlands?

While xenomorphs didn’t appear in Predator: Badlands, the film did feature synths from Weyland-Yutani, the corporate antagonist of the Alien franchise, further expanding Predator’s connection to Alien.
“On this journey, he [Dek] meets… a Weyland-Yutani synth who has been severed in half and stuck in a nest on the planet, waiting for some way to get out of there,” producer Ben Rosenblatt told ScreenRant. “The backstory is that Weyland-Yutani has sent an all-synth mission onto this planet to pursue the very same beast for their own purposes.”
However, Rosenblatt clarified that Badlands wasn’t intended to be another Alien vs. Predator film. Instead, the team simply wanted to give Dek a non-human companion who wouldn’t steal the spotlight from Predator as the story’s main character.
It all began with the idea of giving Dek a robot sidekick, which eventually evolved into incorporating Weyland-Yutani synthetics from the Alien universe.
By the looks of it, Disney may be laying the groundwork for the long-awaited new sci-fi crossover to finally happen on screen.
Alien: Earth Season 1 is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+, though there’s still no word on when Season 2 will be released.
