Here's What You Need to Know About the Spider-Verse Comics!
For the uninitiated, Spider-Verse is a series of comics that came out in 2014 - 2015 from Marvel Comics.
In this storyline, we follow various characters all of whom are Spider-Man in their own, unique dimensions.
Some of these characters have then moved on to their own plotlines, including Spider-Gwen.
There are currently two animated movie adaptations: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
The latter came out in the summer of 2023. If you'd be interested in catching up with the comics, too, here's how:
Here's Where to Read the Spider-Verse Comics Online:
Thankfully, there are a few ways to read Spider-Verse and other Marvel comics legally online. Here are the best ones:
Marvel Unlimited Comics
One of the best places to read Spider-Verse online is Marvel's own website and app, Marvel Unlimited Comics.
If you're unsure, you can first try the 7-day free trial to help you decide if it's for you.
From there on, a membership costs $5 per month due to a current offer.
ComiXology
ComiXology is a part of Amazon specifically dedicated to comics and manga that also includes Spider-Verse content.
You can download these to your Kindle app in order to read them anytime from a device of choice, be it a phone, computer, or Kindle device.
The downside compared to the Marvel Unlimited option above is that, through ComiXology, you have to buy each volume separately.
Therefore, the cost would be higher than the $5 per month needed for Marvel Unlimited, but it might be worth it if you're only interested in very specific comics.
EBooks from Various Retailers
Bookstores such as Barnes and Noble sell ebook versions of the Spider-Verse comics.
This might be worth considering if you don't have a Kindle device and aren't keen on the Kindle app.
Where Can I Get a Physical Copy of the Spider-Verse Comics?
Depending on your area, most major book retailers such as Barnes and Noble, Indigo, Waterstones, and so on, are likely to have a physical copy of Spider-Verse.
You might also be able to borrow Spider-Verse from your local library if they have a comic selection or are willing to order them.
Moreover, you can also order physical copies from your local indie bookstore, if you'd like to support them.
