Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Deleted Scene has More of the Spiders in Disguise

Venom may have been a critical bomb, but Sony had made some good cinema with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The movie has just hit home video, and a new deleted scene has made its way online with all the Spider-people.

Check it out:

The scene takes place during the infiltration of the Kingpin's party. We have some great back and forth between each of the Spider-people with Spider-Ham delivering the punchline. We don't really know why the scene is cut, but I guess it's to give more focus on Peter Parker and his interaction with MJ. I guess developing character is more important than jokes.

If anything, I kind of wanted to see the chemistry between everyone for a bit longer. Hopefully, they'll explore it in the upcoming sequels. When it comes to Spider-Verse, it's ultimately Miles Morales' story, so he gets most of the focus and development. They did a really great balance though, what with all the other characters they brought into the movie.

For now, Sony is said to have greenlit a sequel to Spider-Verse and it's likely that we'll have the involvement from Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac). There's also an all-woman team-up featuring Spider-Gwen, Silk, and Spider-Woman. We don't have a release date for any of those films yet, but hopefully, we don't have to wait too long.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is now available for home video.
