Brie Larson's Carol Danvers may have had quite the introduction in Captain Marvel, however, while fans are eager to see the photon-shooting superhero make her way back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after her epic team-up with the Avengers in Avengers: Endgame, it doesn't seem like she's set to appear in any of the films in Phase 4.
She may, however, appear in one particular Phase 4 series. According to a report by We Got This Covered, sources have said that Captain Marvel is set to have a cameo appearance in Marvel's upcoming Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel.
The studio announced the series along with She-Hulk and Moonlight during Disney's D23 Expo last weekend, and fans went wild with excitement. Ms. Marvel is a popular comic book character – the very first Muslim superhero to headline her own comic book series. Not only was the series well-received by Marvel readers, but the first volume of Ms. Marvel won the Hugo Award for the best graphic story back in 2015.
For the uninitiated, Ms. Marvel, otherwise known as Kamala Khan, starts off as a regular Muslim teen and superhero fan. Not only was Kamala a fan of the Avengers, but she was a major follower of Carol Danvers. Little does Kamala know that she poses Inhuman Genes. It's only when she comes into contact with Terrigen Mists that her powers are triggered and Kamala decides to become Ms. Marvel.
Seeing how closely Ms. Marvel is tied to Captain Marvel, it would only make sense for Carol to make an appearance in the series. Let's wait and see if these rumors are proven to come true.
