After four years and a series of shocking Season 2 cliffhangers, Euphoria is finally set to return for its highly anticipated third season.
Fans can expect their favorite characters to face new challenges, alongside the introduction of new faces and a major time jump.
As Euphoria Season 3 catches up with Rue (Zendaya) and the rest of the gang after high school and college graduation, here’s everything you need to know.
How Did Euphoria Season 2 End?

It has been nearly four years since Euphoria Season 2 ended, so fans may need a refresher on what happened.
By the end of the season, Rue finally chooses herself and commits to sobriety. She says her final goodbye to Jules (Hunter Schafer) to focus on her recovery, despite still loving her.
But while Rue finishes the school year sober, she remains indebted to Laurie (Martha Kelly), leaving a major threat unresolved.
Meanwhile, Fez (Angus Cloud) and Ashtray (Javon Walton) are caught in a tragic shootout. The raid ends with Ashtray’s death after he stabs an informant, while Fez’s fate is left uncertain.
Nate (Jacob Elordi) also exposes his father, Cal (Eric Dane), for illegal activities, ultimately leading to Cal’s downfall. At the same time, Laurie’s looming presence continues to pose a dangerous threat.
With so much left unresolved, Season 2 ended with numerous open threads for Euphoria Season 3 to explore.
What is Euphoria Season 3 About?

Euphoria Season 3 will feature a five-year time jump, catching up with the characters as they’ve gone their separate ways.
“Five years felt like a natural place because if they’d gone to college, they’d be out of college at that time,” creator Sam Levinson told Variety.
This time, Rue will be near the southern border of Mexico, trying to find ways to pay off her debt to Laurie.
Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are married and living in the suburbs. As Cassie becomes addicted to social media, she finds herself growing jealous of her former high school classmates’ seemingly bigger, more glamorous lives compared to her own.
As for the rest of the cast, Jules will be attending art school, Maddy (Alexa Demie) will be working in Hollywood, and Lexi (Maude Apatow) has become a showrunner played by none other than Sharon Stone.
Who’s New, Returning, and Departing in Euphoria Season 3?

Of course, Euphoria Season 3 will see the return of the main cast members: Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney.
It will also bring back Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Chloe Cherry, and others to reprise their roles as Lexi, Laurie, Cal, Ali, Faye, and Maddy.
As Season 3 expands the world of Euphoria, it will also introduce a host of newcomers, including influencer Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, Sam Trammell, Bella Podaras, Matthew Willig, Bill Bodner, Rebecca Pidgeon, Madison Thompson, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Danielle Deadwyler, Kwame Patterson, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, and Jessica Blair Herman.
Unfortunately, Barbie Ferreira will not return as Kat following her exit from the show, alongside Storm Reid and Austin Abrams.
Additionally, Angus Cloud’s role as Fez will no longer appear in the third season after the actor’s passing in 2023.
When will Euphoria Season 3 be released?
The show was originally set to start filming in 2024, but due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes, as well as script delays, production was significantly pushed back to early 2025.
Now, the long wait is almost over, as Euphoria Season 3 is set to premiere in April 2026 on HBO.
