Deadpool & Wolverine Blu-Ray and Digital Release Date Revealed
After the victory lap Deadpool & Wolverine raced at the domestic and international box office, it's time for the threequel to land their streaming release date, as fans have long been waiting for at home.
The highest R-rated movie hauled a total of $1.3 billion during its theatrical run, which pretty much explains why Marvel delayed its streaming and digital release date.
According to Variety, Deadpool & Wolverine's digital and physical releases will not only be released across October but will also feature several bonus featurettes.
These featurettes include Finding Madonna: Making the Oner where director Shawn Levy and Deadpool's Ryan Reynolds break down the iconic Like a Prayer scene, Practical Approach: Celebrating the Art of Ray Chan as a tribute to the longtime Marvel contributor, and Loose Ends: The Legacy Heroes — which happens to include behind-the-scenes gag reels.
As for the expected dates, MCU fans can start renting/purchasing the threequel on digital platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV+ on October 1, the 4K Blu-ray/DVD will be released on October 22.
Though there is no official Disney+ debut date yet, the threequel will likely follow after these releases.
Interestingly, this marks a 67-day gap between Deadpool & Wolverine's theatrical premiere and its online release, similar to how the previous MCU flicks did (The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania).
It is worth mentioning that the Prime Video digital release comes with exclusive features about the Merc with the Mouth's doodles and insider trivia.
Meanwhile, the 4K UHD Blu-ray receives a special limited-edition SteelBooks custom art packaging where fans can choose either of the two versions: one version that spotlights red aka Deadpool and yellow for Wolverine.
