Could GOTG’s Dave Bautista Be Hinting At A Part In Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead?

It looks like Dave Bautista might be up for a role in Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead.

Speaking in an interview for a profile by the Tampa Bay News, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Endgame star Dave Bautista casually means that he's involved in an upcoming film project together with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director, Zack Snyder. Though the Marvel actor doesn't specify which Snyder film he's going to work on, it would make sense to surmise that Bautista means Army of the Dead – after all, the Netflix zombie epic is the only Snyder movie that's currently in active development.

For those who aren't familiar with what Snyder has planned for the film, Army of the Dead is going to feature the story of a team of mercenaries entering walled-off Las Vegas after a zombie outbreak, attempting at a heist. The film was supposed to be directed by The Thing's Matthijs van Heijningen with Snyder as the project's producer, however, the project was canceled because of some financial crisis.

Army of the Dead has only been able to return now thanks to Snyder's deal with Netflix. The movie is set to premieres sometime in 2020, and while no actors have been cast for the role, it isn't entirely farfetched to imagine Bautista as one of the mercenaries in the film.

After all, the Marvel star does play Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, not to mention his role in Blade Runner 2049.

Army of the Dead has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
