  • Quick Answer: In the books, Dunk never finds Tanselle again; however, season 2 may deviate from the source material to explore their "unfinished connection."

While George R.R. Martin's Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas didn't give Ser Duncan the Tall a wife, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms might tell his love story differently. Don't let Tanselle "Too Tall" out of your sight just yet, folks.

Tanselle "Too Tall" vanished without a trace after the cruel Prince Aerion Targaryen snapped her finger in half for slaying a dragon in a puppet show to spread a political message that the Targaryens are not the answer their kingdom is looking for.

As much as Ser Duncan the Tall hoped to see her despite what unfolded between him and the Targaryens, Tanselle was nowhere to be found. Even though the novellas don't return Tanselle to the main story, her actress, Tanzyn Crawford, begs to differ.

"I would definitely love to continue her story and continue the Dunk and Tanselle connection, so I'm excited for the future of Tanselle," Crawford told TV Insider with a smile, "That's all I can say."

Could Dunk and Tanselle End Up Together in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Season 2?

While Crawford is keeping fans on their toes, could it be possible that Dunk and Tanselle might actually be endgame in their series?

Considering that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 2 has more space and time to deliver a side story of romance for the practicing knight and Crawford's willingness to return, there might be something there, after all.

"I wondered that, too," Crawford said when asked whether Dunk saving Tanselle sparked an unbreakable connection between the two, "There's so many possible options. Did she leave and dismiss it and not think about it, and self-preserve, or is this playing on her mind? I think that's a question that's up in the air."

She added that while she cannot answer her official return for now, she strongly believes there is more hope in expanding the undeniable chemistry between the puppet master and the knight.

For now, fans can wait until A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms returns for season 2 on HBO sometime in 2027. Stay tuned.Keep it locked on Epicstream.com, the best source for film, TV, and celebrity coverage!
