Cyberpunk 2077 is Finally Crossing Over to Live-Action
Taking to their official website, CDPR shared that they've partnered with Anonymous Content, the media company behind shows like “True Detective” and “Mr. Robot” and films like “The Revenant” and “Spotlight' to collaborate on the project.
To those wondering, the project will tell an entirely different story but we can safely assume that beloved characters from the game will show up, potentially even Johnny Silverhand who is portrayed by Keanu Reeves in the game.
CDPR's press release reads: "The new project is at an early development stage and has currently commenced searching for a screenwriter to tell a brand-new story set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077".
The creatives behind the game will also be working closely with Anonymous Content so Cyberpunk diehards can rest assured the project is in good hands.
Will Cyberpunk 2077 be a Movie or Series?
As it stands, we've yet to confirm what kind of project the live-action Cyberpunk 2077 would be but with the success of the series adaptation of The Last of Us, it would be a no-brainer for CDPR to go the same route, although a big budget film also sounds too enticing not to produce.
