Coachella season is still a few months away, but many are already excited following the 2024 lineup’s recent announcement. This year, anime fans will be happy to know that YOASOBI and Hatsune Miku are part of Coachella 2024.
The event’s lineup of artists was revealed via its official social media pages. As always, the festival has tons of big-name artists from all over the world, including these two big names in the anime space.
With YOASOBI set to perform at Coachella, the duo adds yet another feather on their cap.
YOASOBI Continues to Be One of Japan’s Biggest Artists
YOASOBI has been popular for a couple of years now, but 2023 was a huge year for the duo. This is thanks in large part to their song Idol, which served as the opening theme of Oshi no Ko.
The song became an instant hit following the anime’s feature-length premiere, and its popularity was sustained in the following months as it has practically never left the Japanese charts.
By the end of 2023, it was clear that Idol was the top Japanese song of the year. That’s not the duo’s only big song of the year though.
In the Fall 23 season, YOASOBI performed another opening, this time for Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End titled The Brave.
To follow this up, the duo released yet another song titled Biri Biri, which was made for the ever-popular Pokemon franchise.
If their continued dominance in the Japanese charts isn’t enough proof of the duo’s success, YOASOBI also performed at NHK’s Kohaku Uta Gassen, arguably Japan’s most prestigious music program.

Hatsune Miku and YOASOBI Join the Coachella 2024 Lineup
Aside from Japan, YOASOBI has also continued to make a splash internationally with performances in solo concerts or as part of major festivals.
Soon, YOASOBI will be back in the US, this time for Coachella 2024. This is a huge opportunity for the duo, especially as Coachella is one of the US’s biggest music festivals of the year.
YOASOBI won’t be the only artist from the anime world though. Also part of the lineup is the iconic Vocaloid Hatsune Miku.
YOASOBI will perform at Coachella 2024 on Friday, April 12 and 19. Meanwhile, Hatsune Miku will go on stage on Saturday, April 13 and 20.
Coachella 2024 will happen from April 12-14 and 19-21, 2024. The presale for the event will begin on January 19, 2024.
