Here's some good news for those who can’t wait for the next season. Oshi no Ko Season 2 is officially coming in 2024, as revealed in a new teaser shared on the anime’s official pages.
The teaser doesn’t feature new footage. Instead, it’s an animated version of the second season’s brand-new key visual, which highlights the main characters of the anime’s next arc.
While the first season’s final mini-arc followed B-Komachi’s debut, this next arc will highlight the rivalry between Aqua Hoshino’s two potential love interests.
Oshi no Ko’s Teaser Puts the Spotlight on Kana and Akane
Oshi no Ko aired in Spring 2023, and it became one of the most popular shows of the season. This is thanks to the show’s intriguing story that features a behind-the-scenes look at Japan’s entertainment industry.
It also helps that the anime has lots of memorable characters. Aside from the Hoshino twins who serve as the primary characters, fans have also become enamored with Kana Arima and Akane Kurokawa.
At the end of the first season, it was revealed that the two know each other, though they’re far from friendly. Instead, they’re major acting rivals.
This new teaser hints at what fans can expect from their rivalry:
The anime is far from your typical love-triangle romance series, but it’s undeniable that their feelings for Aqua Hoshino heighten Kana and Akane’s rivalry.
Fans can expect this rivalry to be the focal point of the next season as it will follow the Tokyo Blade arc. Based on the manga, this arc will mainly follow the two actresses and Aqua as they prepare for a stage production.
