Wicked: For Good keeps topping box office charts left and right, and it doesn't exclude even the best of Disney's classics, including one of their top favorite franchises, Pirates of the Caribbean.

Wicked: For Good is About to Overtake Pirates of the Caribbean
It's not enough that the Wicked sequel had a stellar box office debut, set a record for the best opening weekend for a Broadway adaptation, and became the second-biggest debut for a 2025 movie, just behind A Minecraft Movie.
Now, as it hits its fourth weekend in theaters, Wicked: For Good is projected to earn an additional $8.3 million, raising its domestic total to $311.8 million.
This figure officially surpasses the $305.4 million North American lifetime gross of the 2003 original Pirates of the Caribbean film, The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Can Wicked: For Good Catch the Original Film's Box Office Earnings?
Pirates of the Caribbean is not the only movie franchise that Glinda and Elphaba's story has overtaken at the box office charts.
If their chances continue going in the right direction at the right pace, the Wicked sequel is only a few million away from surpassing Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, which made $317.8 million.
Per Variety, as of Sunday morning, Wicked: For Good is expected to hit a cumulative worldwide box office total of $467 million by the end of its fourth weekend in theaters; this would comprise $312 million from domestic theaters and an additional $155 million from international markets.
As of writing, the Wicked sequel is the 13th highest-grossing movie of the year worldwide, and managed to pass over its estimated break-even point, based on its reported budget of $150 million.
However, surpassing its predecessor, Wicked (Part One), will be a challenge. The first installment ultimately grossed $787.7 million worldwide, and For Good is showing signs of slowing down much quicker.
Despite this, the sequel's performance remains a massive success for the studio.
