Mariel Molino is set to join the NCIS world as she will co-star as Special Agent Lala Dominguez in the new prequel spinoff series NCIS: Origins.

Mariel Molino in NCIS: Origins
Molino is set to take on her most high-profile project to date, with her major role as Special Agent Lala Dominguez in NCIS: Origins.
The character is described as a former Marine who is dealing with the male-dominated world of the Naval Investigative Service.
In a recent interview, the actress opened up about her excitement about playing a bright and savvy female character in the series and how it appealed to her.
"I do feel that [executive producer] Gina [Lucita Monreal] and [executive producer] David [North] were really good about building a very strong female. She is someone who has to go up against the boys at a time that is very male-dominated," Molino said.
"So, she just has to be a little bit tougher than the rest of them in order to get the respect that she needs."
Molino also felt the pressure of starring in a franchise that has a huge fanbase and is hopeful that viewers will welcome their series.
"There are so many fans that want to see us get this right and I do think there is that pressure. I feel like I have it a little easier than Austin [Stowell] because I am creating a whole new character. So, I really have this blank canvas which is scary in its own way," she explained.
"I guess I am confident in the chemistry, in the performances, and the production of this team. I am confident in what we have done and hope that the fans will really love it."
