As Ruka and Mito come to terms with their feelings for each other, many are wondering where they can start reading the Vampire Dormitory manga after the anime.
After all, Ruka and Mito's love story is far from over, so anime fans who want to know what happens next will have so much to look forward to in the manga.
How Much of Vampire Dormitory Did the Anime Cover?
The first season of Vampire Dormitory aired 12 episodes and followed Mito Yamamoto's arrival in Ruka Souen and Ren Nikaido's lives.
The anime depicted Mito as an attractive woman who chose to conceal her true gender to survive. She was an orphan with nowhere else to go and nowhere to stay, especially after being fired from her work.
Fortunately, Mito found a home in Ruka, an enigmatic, gorgeous man who is actually a vampire. She agreed to be Ruka's vampire thrall in exchange for free food and accommodation. However, Ruka is unaware that Mito is actually a girl.
Ren Nikaido, on the other hand, was determined to keep Mito safe from Ruka at all costs, owing to his previous experience with his parents.
Ren did not want Mito to face the same fate as his mother, so he became very involved with her, which led to him developing affection for her.
Where to Start Reading the Vampire Dormitory Manga after the Anime
Following the 12 episodes of the anime, viewers can begin reading the Vampire Dormitory manga in chapter 21 titled The Boy Says "I Do," or chapter 22 titled The Boy Meets a Transfer Student.
The Vampire Dormitory anime finished in chapter 21, yet there were plenty of events in that chapter that the anime did not cover.
It is recommended to begin reading from chapter 21, but, if you do not wish to go through the events of the anime's last episode again, you can start reading from chapter 22.
From this point forward, Mito and Ruka will encounter new characters along the road, whether they are allies or foes.
After all, Ruka has yet to ascend to the throne, so Mito and Ruka will have to conquer more difficult challenges before they can have their happy ending.
