With Wicked: For Good finally out in theaters, fans are wondering when the film will be available on streaming to rewatch it anytime at their convenience.

The new movie made box office records when it was released in theaters last weekend, as it ended up being the biggest opening ever for a Broadway musical film adaptation. It is now expected to be one of the highest-grossing films of the year, and just like the first movie, it will likely do well in the awards race with several nominations in play.

When is Wicked: For Good Available to Watch on Streaming?

So far, Wicked: For Good is not yet available to watch on any of the streaming platforms, since it is still being released exclusively in theaters worldwide.

No release date has also been set for its arrival on digital VOD platforms or in Universal's Peacock streaming service.

In the case of the first film last year, it became available on digital VOD platforms on December 31, 2024, which is more than a month after its theatrical release date. It started streaming on Peacock on March 21, 2025.

It will likely be a similar case for Wicked: For Good. It won't be surprising if you can watch it on digital VOD platforms sometime in the Christmas season or before the year ends, and become available on Peacock in March next year or sometime in late Q1 or early Q2.

However, you can still get your Wicked: For Good fix at home by listening to the soundtrack on music streaming platforms such as Spotify.

For now, fans need to wait for at least a month before they can likely be able to watch the movie from the comfort of their home.

What to Expect in Wicked: For Good

Wicked: For Good serves as the epic, electrifying, emotional conclusion to the film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical. It covers Act Two of the source material.

According to the official synopsis: "Elphaba, now demonized as The Wicked Witch of the West, lives in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz’s silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth she knows about The Wizard."

"Glinda, meanwhile, has become the glamorous symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. Under the instruction of Madame Morrible, Glinda is deployed to serve as an effervescent comfort to Oz, reassuring the masses that all is well under the rule of The Wizard."

"As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, Glinda and Elphaba will need to come together one final time. With their singular friendship now the fulcrum of their futures, they will need to truly see each other, with honesty and empathy, if they are to change themselves, and all of Oz, for good."

The cast includes Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Colman Domingo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
