Luis Guzmán confirmed there will be many new faces appearing in Wednesday Season 3, and several of them will be members of the Addams family.
“Yeah, it’s a bit of a family reunion going on,” he told ScreenRant. “We have great guest stars coming in.”
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie star said he is grateful to be part of this “wonderful universe,” noting that the franchise “has gone through so many generations.”
“Everybody loves something about it because it started as a comic strip, then a cartoon, a black-and-white episodic, a movie, more cartoons, and now this,” he continued. “That’s pretty formidable. And to have the numbers we have–so many things get retreaded and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but this has had amazing success. I pinch myself every day. I would never in ten lifetimes have imagined I’d be Gomez Addams, but here it is.”
Guzmán added that he enjoyed working with executive producer and director Tim Burton, as well as the writers, cast, and crew. He also praised the response from audiences and fans.
Now that he has also been part of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, he is thrilled with how his career is progressing.
“That’s next level. If this were a candy store, I’d be seeing the dentist the next day. Very happily. Trust me,” he said.
Who’s in the Cast of Wednesday Season 3?
Netflix released a Wednesday Season 3 cast announcement trailer in February, revealing several new cast members and characters joining the series.
Among the biggest stars joining the show are Eva Green as Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s long-lost sister; Winona Ryder as the mysterious Tabitha; Noah Taylor as Cyrus; Oscar Morgan as Atticus; Kennedy Moyer as Daisy; and Chris Sarandon as Balthazar, believed to be “Cousin Balthazar” from the 1991 The Addams Family movie.
Three Game of Thrones stars also join the cast, including Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance, adding major star power to the third season.
While details about their characters remain under wraps, both Wednesday and Game of Thrones fans are excited to see Headey, best known as Cersei Lannister, join the Wednesday universe.
Wednesday Season 3 is already in production, so the new season is expected to debut sometime later this year. Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Netflix.
