- Primary Subject: Enid Sinclair's fate in Wednesday season 3
- Key Update: The Wednesday season 3 cast announcement teaser features a scorched nameplate for Enid, fueling theories that she may not survive the new season.
- Status: Unconfirmed / Fan Theory
- Last Verified: February 24, 2026
- Quick Answer: While Emma Myers is confirmed to return, a "burned" nameplate in the season 3 teaser has fans worried that Enid Sinclair may face a tragic end.
Despite what went down in Wednesday season 2, Enid Sinclair's safety remains a mystery in Nevermore Academy.
With the Addams planning to return to the small screens soon, what do fans think the third season has in store for Enid? Here's what the cast trailer tells us.
What Happens to Enid in Wednesday Season 3? Trailer's Fate Explored
While Wednesday managed to keep her friend, Enid, from a tragic death in season 2, who's to say she would be able to avoid the same fate in season 3? The cast trailer "served" the dishes on which Wednesday characters will be returning to Netflix, but on the list, Enid's name gets burned.
Considering that Enid has been forced to retreat from the human world after her werewolf transformation, this implies there are bound to be more dangerous attempts in Wednesday season 3. If not death, fans surmise she may lose her humanity for good.
Even though Enid's death has yet to be confirmed, only two names appeared to have been "harmed" at the table. Enid's and Morticia's sister, Ophelia Frump.

The only time we see Ophelia is in the final moments of season 2, where the series reveals the truth: Ophelia was not dead, but has been held in the basement of Grandmama all along. With little information on her, all we know is that she has been scribbling Wednesday Must die on a wall all these years she's been kept away.
Ophelia might most likely be out for blood in Wednesday season 3, particularly for her niece's raven abilities. Who knows? There might be more Addams and Nevermore secrets Ophelia had stowed with her that would prove to benefit Wednesday and the others in the present.
What to Expect in Wednesday S3: Winona Ryder Reunites with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Cast
One of the most surprising pieces of news that Wednesday season 3 served fans with is that Stranger Things star Winona Ryder has joined (and reunited with) the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice co-star Jenna Ortega and director Tim Burton, as production has begun in Ireland for their anticipated return.
Alongside the casting announcement, Burton sends a message for the long-awaited reunion, "I am so happy that Winona has joined us; she fits right into this world."
As of writing, all we know of Ryder's involvement is that she will be a guest role character named Tabitha. Much of that will hopefully be unveiled as production proceeds.
Apart from Ryder, Eva Green (Ophelia), Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer are new additions to Wednesday's world.
In the meantime, fans can expect Wednesday season 3 to premiere sometime between late 2026 and early 2027.
