The latest episode of Feud: Capote vs. the Swans featured the infamous Black and White Ball and the unreleased Truman Capote documentary. Here's where you can watch the Truman Capote documentary from the Maysles brothers.
What is the Maysles Brothers' Documentary About? The Untold Truman Capote Story
The beginning of Feud: Capote vs. the Swans episode 3 featured a flashback from November 28, 1966: the night Truman Capote held the Black and White Ball at New York City's Plaza Hotel.
The masquerade party was the grandest at the time it was dubbed "the best party ever" in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
In this flashback episode, a documentary was developed to depict the real-life filmmakers Albert and David Maysles, who supposedly created the unreleased Truman Capote documentary.
It is worth mentioning though that this documentary does NOT exist. It was never shot, let alone released, as told by Gus Van Sant, who helmed the episode.
"It was an invention of Ryan [Murphy's] to pretend like Truman hired somebody to shoot the ball, and then decide not to go through with it at the end," Van Sant explained.
But there is a hint of truth here, though. The Maysles did make a documentary with Capote in 1966, it just had nothing to do with the aforementioned ball.
The documentary is titled With Love From Truman (also known as A Visit With Truman Capote), which was an "intimate meeting" between the renowned author and the Maysles brothers. Is this documentary available to stream anywhere?

Where Can You Watch With Love From Truman Documentary?
With Love From Truman was released in 1966, when Truman Capote published his book, In Cold Blood. At the time, he declared to be a part of the new genre, calling it a "non-fiction novel."
The author discussed the first-hand accounts of an actual murder that was written in the novel, in which Truman shared his coverage of the subsequent trial and his relationship with the two young killers.
Now, where can you watch this Truman Capote documentary by the Maysles Brothers? Unfortunately, as of writing, it is not available on Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime, or any other streaming service.
However, given the popularity that Ryan Murphy's Feud: Capote vs. the Swans is gaining, there's a good chance the Truman Capote documentary will be released soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
