Following its release on the Oculus Quest, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series has finally set a release date for its arrival to PlayStation VR!
The three-part game is set on Mustafar where players get to explore Darth Vader's fortress and discover secrets beneath the lave-filled planet's surface. Along with the launch trailer for the Star Wars VR game, ILMxLAB revealed during Sony Interactive Entertainment's State of Play broadcast that the game is coming to PlayStation VR on August 25.
The clip provides a glimpse of what to expect in the game, fighting droids with the use of the Force as well as with various lightsabers. The trailer bears the reveal of its PlayStation VR release date too. You can check out the video above!
The game's three episodes will be sold as a single purchase for fans to get easier access to the complete VR trilogy. "Vader Immortal holds a very special place in our hearts at ILMxLAB and we are very excited to be bringing this to PlayStation VR," Producer Harvey Whitney said about the announcement. "This allows even more fans to experience the first Star Wars story designed exclusively for virtual reality."
Developed by Industrial Light & Magic, Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series is set in between the events of Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One. It follows a smuggler operating near Mustafar who uncovers ancient mysteries beneath the planet. Again, the game is set for release on PlayStation VR on August 25.
