As Star Wars fans from across the galaxy celebrate the unofficial day for the beloved franchise, US President Donald Trump’s administration couldn’t help but join in on the fun.

However, instead of celebrating, fans were left scratching their heads at the AI image of Trump holding an odd choice for a lightsaber. Can you guess what's wrong with it?

Well, first of all, it's AI-generated. Secondly, Lightsabers are a pretty common weapon for identifying which members of the Force are enemies and which are allies of the Jedi.

While blue and green are part of the palette for the good guys, Trump’s red lightsaber in the artificially intelligence-prompted photo is sticking out like an eyesore. Check out the official White House post below:

As fans are aware, the red lightsaber is not good news, nor is it on the good side of the Star Wars Universe's history. Though there had been non-Sith figures who wielded the red saber, it is generally a part of the Sith's trademark.

What makes this even more bewildering is that the caption behind the AI image claims that the US President is on the "good side", hence, the confusion of fans:

As Star Wars fans chimed in, they would have hoped that a little research would have sent the "right" message and used the correct saber color to paint the picture they're trying to sell here.

Ironically, the AI image painted the president as the very Sith Lord the galaxy had been trying to defeat and banish from the realm.

But hey, don’t blame the fans for the AI prompt that led to this mess.

President Trump 2028 Takeaway: Not Running for Third Term

Trump marked his first 100 days in office during his second term on May 4, when he was interviewed by NBC's "Meet the Press" host, Kristen Welker.

As the president worked on his central 2024 campaign, which included dealing with tariffs and nationwide immigration, he realized he would be an "eight-year president," which is "very important."

Despite continuous support from allies to run for the third time, he is reconsidering his position for a third term in 2028: "It's something that, to the best of my knowledge, you're not allowed to do."

As the Constitution's 22nd Amendment states, "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice." But the Trump 2028-branded red hats being sold for $50 beg to differ.

"Other people say, 'You can have a write-in vote,'" Trump added, despite the mentioned limitation.

Overall, however, Trump's main goal is to pass the torch onto someone else he could fully trust ahead of the next presidential election.

"There are many people selling the 2028 hat," Trump said, "But this is not something I'm looking to do. I'm looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican to carry it forward."

In the meantime, expect Andor season 2 episodes 7-9 on May 6, 2025, on Disney+.
