After more than a year since its finale, Trigun Stampede has announced its 'final phase' titled Trigun Stargaze.
While specific details such as the release date and cast are still under wraps, this update is sure to excite fans who have been eagerly awaiting news on the anime's next installment.
Trigun Stampede Reveals ‘Final Phase’ Titled Trigun Stargaze
This year's Anime Expo featured several major announcements from various studios and production companies.
One of which is studio Orange, which revealed that the ‘final phase’ of Trigun Stampede, which was originally confirmed last year, is titled Trigun Stargaze.
The announcement included new character designs for Vash, Millions Knives, and Nicholas D. Wolfwood, which thrilled fans and increased anticipation for the upcoming installment.
When Will Trigun Stargaze Premiere? Our Release Date Predictions
The Trigun Stampede anime aired in the winter season of 2023 from January to March. Meanwhile, the announcement of the anime’s next and final phase, Trigun Stargaze, was made over a year later in July 2024.
Based on this timeline, Trigun Stargaze could possibly premiere over a year from when the title was confirmed, with the earliest possible debut in the summer of 2025 or early July next year.
Another important factor that could affect the anime’s release is how busy its production studio, Orange, would be in the coming months.
The studio has recently announced a two-part release for one of its most popular titles, Beastars, starting in December.
There’s also the anime adaptation of the cyberpunk adventure series Leviathan, which is confirmed to premiere sometime in 2025.
Given these commitments, a summer 2025 release for Trigun Stargaze is a generous estimate, which would give the studio ample time to manage its other projects.
When the anime finally premieres, it will be available to watch on Crunchyroll, as the company previously stated that it would stream the ‘final phase’ once it is released.
Trigun Stargaze’s Potential Story Explored
In addition to revealing its title, it was announced that Trigun Stargaze will be set two and a half years after the events of Trigun Stampede.
This aligns with the conclusion of the previous installment, which featured a two-year timeskip revealing that Vash is now living under the alias "Eriks".
This neatly sets the stage for Trigun Stargaze, where fans can anticipate Vash's new adventures under his new identity as Eriks.
