Following the success of the second season, the release date of Beastars season 3 has been confirmed, along with more information about its cast and staff.
It’s about time for Legoshi to return to the small screen, as the third season of the fantasy anime is expected to cover the remaining chapters of the beloved manga series by Paru Itagaki.
Beastars Season 3 to Release in Two Parts Starting December
Anime fans have another reason to celebrate, as Netflix finally revealed an update on the status of the highly anticipated final season of Beastars.
In an announcement, Netflix confirmed that Beastars season 3 will be split into two halves, with the first part slated to premiere in December!
Along with the announcement, a new promotional visual has also been released on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Netflix Anime, as shown below:
The final season of Beastars will bring back the main cast, along with director Shinichi Matsumi (Thundercats) and scriptwriter Nanami Higuchi (Kimi dake ni Motetainda).
Studio Orange (Black Bullet, Dimension W, Trigun Stampede) is also reported to return as the final season’s animation studio.
Beastars S3 Release Date and Schedule Predictions
Beastars season 3 is confirmed to have a split-cour run, with the first part dropping on Netflix this December.
This means that viewers should anticipate a break between the premiere of the first and second half of Beastars season 3, unlike other anime series with consecutive double-cour runs.
With this, the second part of Beastars season 3 is expected to drop sometime in mid-2025, most likely in the first week of the spring or summer season.
Depending on the break that the final season would take, fans could wait longer or shorter than expected.
Netflix to Stream Beastars Season 3
Beastars season 3 will start streaming its first part exclusively on Netflix, beginning in December in Japanese audio with English subtitles, and most likely in English dub at a later date.
Ahead of the release date of the third season, fans can rewatch the first two seasons of Beastars on Netflix in Japanese, English, Spanish, French, German, and Polish dubs.
What Could Beastars Season 3 Cover?
The third season of Beastars could cover the remaining chapters of the manga series, beginning with chapter 100, which also marks the start of the Interspecies Relations Arc.
Because the final season of Beastars will be split into two cours, it is expected to contain 24-26 episodes, which might cover the full series up to the last chapter of the Revenge of the Love Failure Arc.
Fans could look forward to an exciting new season in which Legoshi will possibly leave school to fend for himself while being watched over by Beastar Yahya, while Haru will likely continue to balance her connection with Legoshi as the latter's predatory inclinations become more intense.
