LADbible revealed that award-winning host and The Traitors host Alan Cumming has been tapped to voice the "evil" persona of Bullseye in Toy Story 5.

This marks the first time the fan-favorite character will have a voice in the Toy Story franchise, though only through an alter ego in the upcoming movie.

Cumming called joining Toy Story 5 an "incredible honour," and he is "so happy and proud and in disbelief." Since the character has never been voiced before, they "went around the houses a bit before we settled on the [voice] we're using."

"But the circumstances of him talking, once you see the film, will make you understand why we had quite a broad church to choose from," he said.

"Well, I would say don't expect too much, as it is a cameo, but it is quite exciting as this character has never had a voice before."

Cumming also revealed that he recorded his lines for the film in just one day and worked with the directors only via Zoom.

"Voice work is pretty much the same wherever you do it and on what scale," he said.

"I really like it as it makes you really focus on the nuance and timbre of your voice and your accent, and even your breathing. Obviously, you don't have to get all made up and into a costume, and sometimes you can do it from your bed!"

What to Expect in Toy Story 5

In Toy Story 5, the toys are back, and this time, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang's jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie.

It will also feature the reunion of Woody and Buzz following Woody’s decision to leave the gang and start helping lost toys at the end of the fourth film. As the toys face the tech devices of today, it’s going to be all hands on deck with some familiar and all-new characters.

The voice cast is led by Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, and Joan Cusack as Jessie. They are joined by Greta Lee as Lilypad, Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants, and Tony Hale as Forky. The ensemble expands with Craig Robinson as Atlas, Shelby Rabara as Snappy, Scarlett Spears as Bonnie, Mykal-Michelle Harris as Blaze, and Matty Matheson as Dr. Nutcase.

Also featured are John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head, Anna Vocino as Mrs. Potato Head, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Melissa Villaseñor as Karen Beverly, John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl, and Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom.

The film is set to release in theaters on June 19. Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton serves as director.
