Fans of Tom Holland's Spider-Man would love to know that the actor is willing to play the character for a really long time.
In a recent interview, the actor gushed about the "amazing experience" of portraying one of the most recognizable superheroes in all of comics.
It's an amazing experience as an actor and such a privileged experience as an actor to get to play characters that you love so much time and time again. I definitely have the mindset of, if you want to make 20 of these movies, then I'm down because it's really fun. It's, it's been a real privilege and so much fun. Maybe even more fun this time around than the last one. It's been great.
Holland will need to negotiate a new contract with Marvel and Sony now that he's down to his last film. He signed on to six films with his fifth one, the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The actor's interest to play the wallcrawler in the long run offers so many possibilities especially with the legendary Spider-Man comic book stories that Marvel can adapt. With the Spider-Man:Homecoming sequel, a lot of fans are convinced Marvel is planting the seeds for Spider-Verse, where he could play the definitive Spider-Man. There's word that Sony may be looking for a way to have him appear on the Venom-Verse that they are building as well. A Clone Saga story will be great with Holland too!
Peter Parker has decades of comic book stories beyond his high school years. There is a plethora of villains that he is bound to meet.
For now, it is looking like he is a prime candidate to pick up the mantle from Iron Man as the face of the MCU although Brie Larson's Captain Marvel is up for that title too.
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters July 2.
