Yennefer quickly became a fan-favorite character amongst the viewers of Netflix's The Witcher. From her tragic backstory up to her transformation, it is evident that Anya Chalotra will have to deliver such a drastic contrast in her character. And although the actress did a flawless performance in the show, she faced some challenges in playing the role along the way.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, Chalotra revealed the most difficult part of playing Yennefer's character. "The most challenging aspect, was like, I'm in my 20s, and I play from the age of 14 to late 70s," she said. "I mean, that is the biggest time I've ever been on as an actor."

However, Chalotra noted that she "loves" it and that the character is actually "exciting to play." "I just have to rethink my approach," she added. "I mean, I've done more plays than I have TV." Chalotra says it "was a pace" at which they work, as well as the amount of material that they had. "And we were shooting consecutive scenes -- was a very different process than I'd ever been on before," she continued.

The Witcher has already been renewed for a second season. In a previous interview, showrunner Lauren Hissrich teased that Ciri will eventually find safety with Geralt and Yennefer in the upcoming season. The final episode of the first one left fans hanging, but they are really excited to see how and when these three characters will bond.
