Rumors of a feud between The White Lotus stars Walton Goggins and Amie Lou Wood, who played couple Rick and Chelsea, began after the hit HBO series aired its third season finale in April.

At the time, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the two had stopped following each other on Instagram, despite Goggins posting a series of photos of them together.

Adding to the speculation were Goggins’ deleted comment on a controversial Saturday Night Live (SNL) sketch and reports that the two allegedly tried to avoid each other on the Met Gala 2025 red carpet—further fueling the rumors of a rift.

However, recent developments suggest otherwise. So, are Goggins and Wood ready to bury the hatchet?

The feud rumors began when fans noticed that Goggins and Wood had unfollowed each other shortly after The White Lotus Season 3 finale.

There was also speculation that the actor may have blocked the BAFTA winner after her comments disappeared from Goggins’ posts. However, the 53-year-old star’s comments on Wood’s posts remain visible.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Goggins reacted lightheartedly on SNL’s now-deleted Instagram post after the show featured a White Lotus parody, in which Wood’s character, Chelsea, was mocked by exaggerating her teeth.

While Wood found the sketch “mean and unfunny,” Goggins commented, “Hahahahahhahaha amazzzingggg,” before later deleting the comment.

Just earlier this month, Goggin seemed to be unready to talk about Wood, abruptly ending his interview with the UK Times after the interviewer asked questions about Wood.

The publication’s editor and writer Ed Potton first asked the Django Unchained star if he and Wood had a fallout.

“I’m not gonna have that conversation,” he answered.

The publicists then asked Potton to continue, but the latter brought up Wood again by mentioning his upcoming SNL hosting gig.

Goggins said nothing, while his publicist tried to change the topic by suggesting to talk about the actor’s upcoming movie, The Uninvited, with Pedro Pascal instead.

“Thinly veiled, my friend. The thing you’re least interested in,” Goggins said.

Potton just shrugged it off and tried to talk about Wood again, but Goggins didn’t have it and cut him off.

“There is no conversation to be had about that,” Goggins added.

But that didn’t top Potton from bringing up Wood, with Goggins responding, “What the f-ck, Ed!” before his American publicist ended the interview.

Though Goggins and Wood seemingly avoided each other at Met Gala 2025 after walking the red carpet separately, the 31-year-old star squashed the feud rumors by commenting about her The White Lotus co-star.

In fact, she even gushed over Goggins, telling Entertainment Tonight that she “loved working with” him.

“It was the best thing ever,” she said before talking about his upcoming SNL appearance. “He’s going to be incredible doing SNL. It’s the perfect thing for him to do. It’s going to be hilarious. I’m so excited to see it.”

She also clarified that she would not make a cameo on the sketch show despite the rumors of her possible appearance.

“I’m not,” she continued. “I’m not doing that.”

Fans also noticed that Goggins and Wood are now following each other on Instagram again, proving they have already made amends.
