The Runaways Season 3 Will Feature The Long-Awaited Crossover With Cloak and Dagger

The news Marvel fans have been waiting for has officially been confirmed; The Runaways will be crossing over with Cloak and Dagger. This is something fans have wanted since both shows were announced due to the similarities both shows have, focusing on young people who run away from the wrath of angry adults. These characters have also had some noteworthy interactions in the comics so we can't wait to see how this plays out in the show.

Marvel confirmed the crossover via the official Cloak and Dagger Twitter account where the casts of both shows made the announcement. It's cool seeing the cast together like this and it will be awesome witnessing their characters interact, especially since some of them will have superpowers. Hopefully, they get this right and everyone is represented well, though we will have to wait and see.

Fans who read Brian K. Vaughan's original run on The Runaways knows that the two groups had a pretty cool interaction there. Vaughan was also a big fan of Cloak and Dagger, even considering them the "original" Runaways of Marvel. Sadly, it doesn't look like Vaughan will be writing the interaction for both shows but that's not anyone's fault.

It's also worth noting that the second season finale of Cloak and Dagger essentially confirmed the crossover. The ending had the duo uncovering a case away from New Orleans, where the bodies of dead women were found washed up on a beach.

Cloak and Dagger will crossover with The Runaways later this year. The Runaways season 3 will debut on Hulu on December 13.
