Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has become a major Hollywood household name, appearing in multiple films and franchises. Ever since word came out that Johnson was set to star in the DC Extended Universe as the supervillain Black Adam, fans have been wondering whether the actor would be able to get into the Marvel Cinematic Universe too. If he did, which hero would be best suited for him?
In an interview during the MTV Movie Awards, Avengers: Endgame director Anthony Russo revealed that he believes that best Marvel character for The Rock would be The Rock because the actor "is the best version of him(self)." Johnson seems to think so too.
Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com during a press event for the upcoming weekend release of Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Johnson was asked to comment about the Russo brother's preferred Marvel hero that he'd play in the MCU.
"I think I would have to, that's the thing," Johnson said. "And I appreciate the Russo Brothers. I've known those guys for a long time and I appreciate the compliment and we would have to see."
"So, basically what they're saying is, is I don't need a cape," the action star added, laughing. "Basically what they said, I could be the leader of the Marvel universe. That's my interpretation."
Johnson's pretty large as life itself, appearing in many major blockbuster movies the past few years.
Not only has the professional wrestler been making it big in the Fast and Furious franchise, but he's been making waves in the Jumanji movies and in films like Rampage, Baywatch, and Skyscraper. Given his work and his name, Johnson could definitely appear in a Marvel movie as himself.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs& Shaw premieres on August 2, 2019.
