The Mortal Kombat Movie Has Wrapped Up Filming

The Mortal Kombat movie has seemingly wrapped filming, which is huge news since it is scheduled for an early 2021 release. Fans have high hopes for this movie since they have been promised gore and Fatalities, something that the previous films failed to give them. Granted, it was the ‘90s but if you've played those games, there's no way it should have been given a PG-13 rating.

Anyway, Lewis Tan, who is one of the stars of the film, has confirmed that filming for the movie has wrapped. Tan thanked everyone for their hard work, admitting that he is exhausted in a physical and emotional level, though he does seem fine with that. If anything, this shows that the movie will have some cool fight scenes, which will hopefully look awesome on the big screen.

We know that the movie will have fan-favorites like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, and more but details on the plot have yet to be revealed. Most of us are going to assume that this will be based on the first game, so it will be a tournament to determine the fate of Earth but we'll have to wait and see.

Considering the track record of most video game movies, it's easy to assume that this could suck. Still, the hype for this film has been relatively high and people are loving how the movie's getting gore and Fatalities.

Mortal Kombat is currently scheduled for a January 2021 release.
