The Mandalorian has been dishing out a number of surprises since it began airing in 2019 and two successful seasons later, the hit Star Wars series is still delivering the goods. The latest episode marked the surprising return of actor Ahmed Best, whose portrayal of Jar Jar Binks in the prequel trilogy has left many quite divided over the years.
Playing the role of Jedi Kelleran Beq, Best's return to a galaxy far, far away was well-received by audiences but when the character first turned up in Chapter 20, a lot of viewers were convinced that a familiar face made his return. In fact, fans initially thought that Best was actually playing Mace Windu until we learned about his true identity following Grogu's rescue.

For quite some time now, there's been major speculation surrounding Mace Windu's potential involvement in Baby Yoda's salvation from Order 66. Several rumors even claimed that Samuel L. Jackson was set to make his return as the purple lightsaber wielder in The Mandalorian but obviously, that wasn't the case.

Even the Star Wars icon believes that Windu actually survived being thrown into the abyss by Darth Sidious. And when you think about it, the fact that his status has been left unaddressed all these years makes his potential comeback down the line all the more plausible.
As for Kelleran, his brief appearance during Grogu's flashback left the door wide open for Lucasfilm to further explore his connection to The Child. We'd like to assume that we haven't seen the last of this mysterious Jedi because there are still questions that demand answers.
