Jared Padalecki as Mister Marathon

Jared Padalecki finally debuted in The Boys Season 5, Episode 5, after much anticipation.

Both Soldier Boy and Homelander are searching for him to learn more about V1.

Mister Marathon admits he was friends with Bombsight, the V1 supe who escaped with the remaining serum from Fort Harmony.

Mister Marathon and Homelander clearly do not get along, especially after the episode reveals a new backstory that deepens his hatred for Homelander.

In the series, Mister Marathon and Misha Collins’ Malchemical appeal to Soldier Boy to kill his son, but he refuses.

Instead, he forces them to work together, with Mister Marathon doing most of the heavy lifting. In the end, Homelander kills Mister Marathon, ending Padalecki’s stint on The Boys Season 5 just like that.

Misha Collins as Malchemical

To complete the Supernatural reunion in The Boys, Misha Collins finally appears in Season 5, Episode 5 as Malchemical.

In the comics, Malchemical is a shapeshifter, but the series reimagines him with the ability to transform into a gaseous form that emits toxic gas.

He uses this power to incapacitate Homelander when he arrives with Soldier Boy. Refusing to let anyone harm his son, Soldier Boy ultimately strangles Malchemical and snaps his neck, leading to his death.

Soldier Boy and Homelander travel to Los Angeles to locate more V1 serum, so it’s only fitting that they encounter several Hollywood stars, including Seth Rogen.

Playing himself, the actor is part of a group playing poker and smoking weed when the father-and-son duo arrives.

However, as he tries to escape the ensuing bloodbath, Mister Marathon runs him through, causing his death.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Himself

Christopher Mintz-Plasse is also part of the group with Seth Rogen, where they talk about his Kick-Ass movie.

The group discusses what they should do about Homelander’s regime, while Mintz-Plasse wonders if Michael Cera is a Starlighter.

“We’re up for the same part right now, and it’d be pretty good if he got vanished,” he says.

But as the battle ensues, Soldier Boy deceives him by directing him in the wrong direction, putting him in the path of Mister Marathon, which ultimately leads to his death.

Kumail Nanjiani as Himself

Kumail Nanjiani also appears in The Boys Season 5, Episode 5 as himself. Like the others, he believes they should be doing something against Homelander’s regime.

However, like Mintz-Plasse, he also ends up dying after Soldier Boy gives him the wrong instructions to “save him,” which instead puts him in Mister Marathon’s way.

Will Forte as Himself

Will Forte

Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte also appears in The Boys as a fictionalized version of himself.

While everyone in the group is determined to go against Homelander, Forte remains skeptical.

However, despite his stance, he is not spared from the chaos of Episode 5. During a chase, Mister Marathon accidentally runs through him, causing his death.

Craig Robinson as Himself

Craig Robinson also makes an appearance in The Boys Season 5, Episode 5.

Sure, his role is brief, but that’s what makes it even funnier. Why? Robinson is in the bathroom while everything unfolds, causing him to miss what’s really happening.

When he comes out, he runs into Soldier Boy, who quickly uses him as a human shield against Mister Marathon. And before he even knows what’s really going on, he’s already killed off.

The Boys Season 5 only has three episodes left before its big finale, releasing every Wednesday on Prime Video.
